AFFECTIVE GO/NO-GO TASK

A series of words will appear on the screen.
They will either be HAPPY or SAD words.

You will have to respond either to happy words,
or to sad words, and to ignore the other type of word.

Your task is to respond AS FAST AS POSSIBLE to the
correct type of word by pressing the SPACE BAR,
but you must not press the space bar when the wrong
type of word appears.

Periodically, the computer will tell you which type
of word to respond to. Suppose it tells you to respond
to happy words. You might then see a series of words
like this:

	joyful	(must respond AS FAST AS POSSIBLE)
	cheer	(must respond AS FAST AS POSSIBLE)
	terror	(must NOT respond)
	
	... and so on.
